Read the label first
The care label is the manufacturer’s instruction, and it is what we clean by. If a piece has no label, tell us, and we will agree an approach with you before anything happens.

What to tell us before you bring something in, how to care for your pieces between visits, and the questions we are asked most often.
02 Before you bring it in
Every item is inspected before anything begins, but there are things only you can know. A minute at the counter is often the difference between a mark that lifts and one that stays.
03 Between visits
Good clothes last decades when they are looked after in between. None of this is complicated, and most of it costs nothing.
The care label is the manufacturer’s instruction, and it is what we clean by. If a piece has no label, tell us, and we will agree an approach with you before anything happens.
Blot a spill with a clean, dry cloth from the outside of the mark inwards. Never rub. Rubbing pushes a stain into the weave and can lift the colour with it.
Water, soda water and supermarket stain removers set as many marks as they lift, and they narrow what a professional can do afterwards. When in doubt, bring it to us as it is.
Hang tailoring on a shaped hanger with room either side, and take it out of the polythene when you get it home. Covers are for the journey, not the wardrobe.
Wool and cashmere stretch out of shape on a hanger. Fold them flat, and give them a season in a breathable bag rather than a sealed box.
Invisible marks oxidise over months and moths are drawn to worn fibres, so anything going away for a season should be cleaned first, not after.

05 Common questions
Most garments are normally ready within 2 days, although the exact turnaround depends on the garment, its condition and the treatment required. Specialist or delicate items may require additional time.
Collection and delivery are free across central London, within three miles of Victoria. The quickest way to check is the postcode box on the home page, which will tell you straight away whether we reach you.
Every item is priced after inspection, so you pay for what your garments actually need rather than a standard rate. The price list gives the “from” price for each service, and we confirm anything unusual with you before we begin.
No, and we would rather say so. We aim to remove all stains, but in some cases it is not possible, and the chances are reduced if a non-professional technique has already been applied. Stained items are processed at the owner’s risk. The terms and conditions set this out in full.
Tell us within 24 hours of receiving your order. After that we cannot assume responsibility for damaged or missing items. If you are not happy with the quality of the cleaning itself, contact us and we will reprocess the garment. The re-cleaning, loss and damage clauses are on the terms and conditions page.
Customers are politely informed that after a period of 6 months, un-collected garments are removed from the premises and disposed of to local charities. See uncollected garments.
Yes. Alongside dry cleaning and laundry we care for bed linen, household textiles, curtains and blinds, leather, suede and fur, shoes and trainers, and wedding dresses, and we carry out alterations and repairs. The services page lists all twelve.
